A few months ago, Remy Ma got physical with Love and Hip-Hop New York co-star Brittney Taylor at the Pretty Lou Benefit Concert which featured Remy, Fat Joe, and more. Taylor supposedly said something foul about Remy’s stepdaughter Dejanae. Taylor’s defense was that she helped save Dejanae’s life but Remy didn’t hear it like that.
Remy originally got hit with misdemeanor assault but new charges have been filed by prosecutors which are two counts of assault in the third degree, one count of aggravated harassment in the second degree, and one count of harassment in the second degree, per TMZ. They will all be classified as misdemeanors as well.
Remy’s defense is that she wasn’t at the venue at the time that Taylor said she was punched. Remy claims that she arrived at 10:30PM, one hour later than the original time stated. Remy has since been offered a guilty plea involving assault in the third degree. The other charges would be dropped and anger management class would be mandatory. The case will be going to trial in July.
Remy had gotten out of prison in 2014 after serving eight years for shooting a woman. Hopefully the plea deal will avoid any jail time.
