The weather is warm, so BET weekend is right around the corner. All the anticipation is for the 2019 BET Awards, where a whole new crop of stars are nominated. Last year’s show had huge tributes for fallen stars, XXXTentacion and Jimmy Wopo.

Given the impact Nipsey Hussle was having, paired with his untimely death, viewers should expect the same treatment. This year, the best and brightest in entertainment will be honored. A long list of stars will be attending.

Leading the list of nominations is Cardi B, who has an endless list of hit singles, spanning just two years. Currently, “Please Me,” with Bruno Mars, is dominating radio waves. Up for Best Male Hip Hop Artist, also, is the late, Nipsey Hussle.
