Just a year ago, the New Orleans Pelicans were in great position. The team made the playoffs and Anthony Davis was finally playing for a contender. In the first round, the Pelicans swept the Portland Trail Blazers, who are currently in the Western Conference Finals.
While Damian Lillard, and the Blazers, struggle to contend with the Golden State Warriors, the Pelicans have good news. After the season they had, New Orleans needs good news. All season, the team struggled, missed the playoffs, and Anthony Davis wants out.
But, the Pelicans landed the number one pick, in the NBA Draft, meaning they have Zion Williamson. This was what the New York Knicks anticipated and many, including Stephen A. Smith, felt they would deal the top pick to the Pelicans for Davis. Because of this, and New Orleans getting the to pick, essentially making Zion and AD teammates, Stephen A. Smith has gone off in his most-epic rant yet, crying.
