Tonight kicked off the annual three-day Rolling Loud festival in Miami and as usual, included a star-studded lineup. Day one featured YG, Cardi B, Migos, Rae Sremmurd, Juice Wrld, Rich The Kid, Trippie Redd, and more.
Things got scary around 10PM as fans started to tweet that an active shooter was around after a fight broke out in the crowd. Fans started to run and it all turned into a stampede as injuries were sustained with some going to the hospital. The Rolling Loud Twitter account said the situation was a “false alarm” but many didn’t view it that way.
There was a false alarm of an incident on site that caused people to panic. The situation has been confirm by police as a false alarm. The show is proceeding as planned with slight delays. Thank you for your patience.

They added that anyone with wristbands who ran off could still get back into Hard Rock Stadium. Fans said otherwise as well as security said no, even when the tweet was presented to them at the scene. Fans also said the security was far from decent as they barely checked people’s bags prior to the performances.
WPLG-TV ABC Miami Fort Lauderdale reporter Jeff Weinsier also tweeted that a commander on the scene said no one was shot and there was no active shooter on the scene. The area had to be cleared though.
PER THE COMMANDER ON THE SCENE
NO ONE SHOT – NO ACTIVE SHOOTERS
AGAIN – THE COMMANDER CAME ON THE RADIO ASKING ALL UNITS TO CALM DOWN – NO ONE SHOT – NO ACTRIVE SHOOTER – JUST GET THE AREA CLEARED #ROLLINGLOUD— Jeff Weinsier (@jweinsierWPLG) May 11, 2019
Rolling Loud has to do better as far as security goes, based on complains from fans in the venue. The fact that many people missed out on seeing headliners such as Cardi B and Migos because they had to run for their lives is unacceptable. Some don’t even want to return for days two and three after the madness. Check out fans running after the rumored active shooter report below.
