Currently, Atlanta is hip hop’s capital city, in the South, but that city isn’t the one that put the South on the map. Actually, Houston was the first city, in the South, that blew up. The city of Houston was led by Geto Boys, which are considered legends in the game.
Geto Boys debuted, back in the late 1980s, and Scarface has maintained a presence in the game. Movements like these seem as though they will last forever. Unfortunately, nothing lasts forever, including Geto Boys’ historic run.
Bushwick Bill is one of the Geto Boys and he was recently dealt some bad news. He has Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer and he isn’t expected to make it, effectively ending Geto Boys, as the world knows them. But, this is a celebration, as Geto Boys are going on a final tour, which launches on May 24, in Pontiac, Michigan.
