Embattled is one word to describe Jussie Smollett, in the wake of all of his controversy. In 2019, he has easily been “Empire’s” biggest star, as people are trying to figure out just what did happen to him that January night in Chicago. Most people still aren’t convinced.
Jussie Smollett is going through his battles and fans are under the belief that Jamal is the “Empire” character dying. But, Lee Daniels has always given Jussie Smollett his support. When the show returned from hiatus, it returned to its lowest ratings in its entire run.
Lee Daniels was recently out and about and “Extra” caught up with him, for a quick minute. The conversation centered on Jussie Smollett and there were nothing but kind words from Lee Daniels about him. He would refer to Jussie Smollett as his son.
