In the past, Birdman has been hit with numerous claims that he hasn’t paid his Cash Money artists such as Lil Wayne and Tyga. Last summer, Wayne reached a settlement that got him over $8 million and got the green light to release his long-awaited ‘Tha Carter V‘ album.

Tyga hit Birdman with a lawsuit last year for unpaid royalties for his ‘Hotel California’ and ‘Careless World‘ albums. He was seeking $10 million in damages. Now according to court documents received by The Blast, Tyga is dismissing the lawsuit against Cash Money and Young Money.

Tyga said he still hasn’t received the damages he was looking for. In addition to the $10 million, he was trying to get Birdman for breach of contract. Both sides reportedly almost reached a settlement but talks crashed quickly. Birdman tried to flip things around by saying that Tyga is the one who owes Cash Money money and never paid back advances.

It really is surprising that Tyga dropped this case. He’s been making it known that he hasn’t seen royalties for the work he’s given to Birdman, Cash Money and Young Money for a while now, which includes lack of royalties for hit singles such as 2011’s ‘Rack City.’
