Lil Uzi Vert has voiced his frustration with DJ Drama and Don Cannon’s Generation Now label which is part of Atlantic Records. H recentlt retired from music because of these problems but Roc Nation recently stepped in to handle his legal matters and could now be free to release his music.
A Free Uzi song has leaked online along with the visuals for it. It is also on TIDAL. Despite the releases, Atlantic Records released a statement to The Fader saying this is just a leaked record and not official. The label also added that they have no comment about whether Uzi put out the record on his own.
The Free Uzi record continues to spread like wildfire so expect Atlantic to take legal action soon. In what appeared to look like a situation where Uzi can finally put out his new ‘Eternal Atake‘ album, that might not be a possibility any time soon. Hopefully Jay Z and Roc Nation can handle this problem as well.
