Meek Mill’s ‘Championships’ Album Goes Platinum Two Weeks After ‘Going Bad’ Featuring Drake Does The Same

A few weeks ago, Meek Mill saw his ‘Going Bad‘ record featuring Drake off of his ‘Championships‘ album go platinum. Now, the entire project just went platinum.

Meek put out his Championships album after putting out his ‘Legends of the Summer‘ EP in the summer. He had a huge bounce back year in 2018 after being released from prison in April after unjustly serving six months on violating his probation just for popping wheelies on a motorcycle in New York. He went on to be an advocate for social justice reform.

Championships had other bangers on it as well such as ‘What’s Free‘ featuring Jay Z and Rick Ross, ‘On Me‘ featuring Cardi B, and ‘Trauma.’ A lot of songs on Championships haven’t gotten deserved recognition and they all played a big role into making it a complete album. Many consider Championships to be the hottest hip-hop album of 2018 which competed with the likes of Drake’s ‘Scorpion‘ and Travis Scott’s ‘Astroworld‘ album.
