R. Kelly was arrested after his CBS interview this week for failing to meet the deadline to pay his $161,000 in child support. Kelly had a complete meltdown during that interview which dealt with his sex abuse case involving four underage girls. As far as the child support, this money would all go to ex-wife Andrea Kelly.
In documents obtained by TMZ, Kelly planed to file a motion earlier this week in court to reduce the amount of money he owes to Andrea. If this officially happens, a judge would review it and make a final decision in a few days. If the judge denies it, Kelly’s plan would be to get others to help him raise $161k.
A woman in Chicago helped pay off R. Kelly’s bail when he was first arrested for the 10 counts of aggravated sexual abuse charges last month. It’ll be interesting to see who chips in the money to get him out of jail this time. He’s currently being held at Cook County Jail.
