When he did his “Unsung Hollywood,” Wayne Brady said he took offense to the stigma that surrounds him. Often, he is accused of only playing “white” roles, as a black man. What he said offended him the most was that people not recognizing that he was opening that door.
Wayne Brady, a lot of times, was that only face of color, and now several faces of color have those time slots, with their own shows. In many was, he is a trail blazer. Overall, the man is just talented, and the world is seeing that, tonight.
Tonight’s episode of “American Soul” sees Don Cornelius (Sinqua Walls) chasing down Little Richard (Wayne Brady). All of this is taking place while he is being covered for a Right On magazine feature. The fans on Twitter are loving Brady’s right-on-time, over-the-top, portrayal of Little Richard.
