On the Atlanta streets, Killer Mike paid his dues decades ago. The world got on a first name basis with Killer Mike, in 2001, when Outkast featured him on “The Whole World.” That song was one of 2002’s first hit records, and Killer Mike continued his run.

Rubbing shoulders with the elite, Killer Mike signed with T.I., at one point, before becoming a political commentator. The 2010s have seen him become a household name on CNN. In 2016, Killer Mike campaigned hard for Bernie Sanders.

Killer Mike stopped by Shade 45, where he and Sway talked about his upcoming “Trigger Warning” project. The Atlanta rapper spoke on the economic empowerment and the black community. This continues the conversation he has been pushing, for some time.
