Last year, Meek Mill shouted out some of his rich friends on his breakout song, “What’s Free?,” featuring Rick Ross and Jay-Z. Without being a single, that song has become the standout track. That helped cement Meek Mill’s comeback, second to only Tyga’s 2018 comeback.

Michael Rubin is one of the people Meek Mill mentioned on “What’s Free?,” when speaking on his legal issues. A self-made multi-millionaire, Michael Rubin was one of the first people to capitalize on the tech industry. Now, he is a part-owner of the Philadelphia 76ers.

Recently, Michael Rubin talked to “The Breakfast Club,” where he kicked some game with DJ Envy, Angela Yee, and Charlamagne Tha God. This interview went far beyond his hip hop connections, as he told the story of his business career, how it began. But, he also explained his and Meek Mill’s friendship, and much more.
