The latest development in Tekashi 6ix9ine’s federal racketeering, murder conspiracy, weapons, and assault case is that one of his lawyers, Lance Lazzaro, was taken off due to Judge Paul A. Engelmayer stating that Lazzaro previously representing 6ix9ine’s ex-manager Kifano “Shotti” Jordan AKA Tr3way and and associate Faheem “Crippy” Walter was ruled as a conflict of interest. This is now playing a huge factor in why a bail hearing is not coming up anytime soon for 6ix9ine.
According to XXL, 6ix9ine’s other lawyer Dawn Florio is saying that Lazzaro being taken off the case is indeed why a bail package hasn’t been prepared for 6ix9ine yet. Lazzaro had previously planned a $1.5 package. A pre-trial conference was held earlier this week and Judge Engelmayer wasn’t pleased at all that Lazzaro didn’t mention previously representing these clients.
“Lance is not representing Daniel Hernandez [6ix9ine] right now because of what happened, of course, we’re going to postpone the bail hearing until Lance can come back on the case,” said Florio.
Lazzaro would have to send letters in detailing the cases of when he represented Tr3way and Crippy. Lazzaro didn’t think this issue was serious as he’s saying he didn’t represent Tr3way in years and he represented Crippy in October because of a shooting that took place outside of a Manhattan restaurant between members of 6ix9ine’s entourage and the 10k Projects label.
6ix9ine is facing a life sentence on these charges. His trial will take place on September 4, 2019.
