A few days ago, Chris Brown was cleared of any charges in Paris after a woman claimed that he raped her in his hotel room. Brown said that all he did in the room was play music from his phone for over 20 people. An investigation is still ongoing but he was free to leave France.
When the rape allegations first surfaced, Eve was extremely critical of Brown on the show, The Talk. She called him out and said to grow up and fix his brain considering the controversy he’s been in in the past.
“This is such a shame,” said Eve. “It’s really a shame. Obviously, we know he’s had troubles in the past. It’s like, when are you gonna stop and grow up and allow the talent to shine through and fix your brain? This is ridiculous!”
Eve has now taken to Instagram to apologize to Brown and everyone else offended by her comments. She simply said that she’s passionate about the climate we’re in and that she hopes Brown’s allegations are false and that she’s rooting for him to do well.
“At first I didn’t think what I said was harsh, but then I looked back it and I realized it was kind of harsh. I’m passionate about the climate that we are in … with women and all these allegations coming out. My passion wasn’t geared towards Chris Brown and these specific allegations. Like I said before I didn’t know if those allegations were true or false and they are not true and he has been released and in that way, I am rooting for him.”
Despite the apology, people on social media are still critical of Eve for her original comments about Chris Brown and bashing him before evidence and an investigation really dived deep into the claims. Check out Eve apologizing below.
