Quavo Says Zaytoven Did Give Soulja Boy “Versace” Beat First But Then Migos Got It And Went Harder; Still Acknowledged That Soulja Influences Artists

Soulja Boy hasn’t been afraid to speak out this past week on him being the one who originally put artists on such as Migos, Famous Dex, Chief Keef, and Lil B. He was also on The Breakfast Club dissing Drake and saying how he gave Migos the beat for their 2013 breakout single “Versace.”

Billboard asked Quavo about this claim and he disputed it. The Migos artist said that Zaytoven usually gives the same beat to different artists. Soulja Boy recorded the beat to his song called “OMG Part 2.” Quavo did give Soulja props though on influencing a lot of artists though and said he does speak facts.

“Growing up, I think I heard the song, it was like an “OMG” song. Then we ended up doing a harder record with some harder lyrics. Soulja most definitely influenced a lot of everybody’s work. He’s speaking facts.”

Soulja saying he put on the Migos is debatable. Many point to Gucci Mane as being responsible for that. On Migos’ debut mixtape “YRN” in 2013 which had Versace on it, they did feature Soulja Boy on the song “We Ready.”
