Four years ago, Cardi B made her “Love & Hip Hop” debut, and she told anyone who’d listen that she would soon be the biggest name in music. A lot of people laughed that off, as many “Love & Hip Hop” stars say this. But, in the case of Cardi B, she was different.
Cardi B was consistently releasing music, before she was even on the show. While she was on the show, Cardi B continued releasing music, before deciding to leave “Love & Hip Hop.” Before the reunion, she signed to Atlantic Records, and topped Billboard.
The incredible 2017 run Cardi B had led to her and Bruno Mars performing during the Grammys. Many questioned how Cardi B could top that in 2018, which she easily did. Now, she is starting 2019 off the same as she did in 2018, performing at the Grammys.
