As you may know, the late rapper, Mac Miller has been nominated for his first ever Grammy at this year’s award ceremony. Mac’s ‘Swimming’ album was posthumously nominated for Best Rap Album of the Year. Although he is up against some nice competition with Cardi B’s “Invasion of Privacy“, Travis Scott for “Astroworld“, Nipsey Hussle “Victory Lap” and Pusha T with “Daytona,” there’s still a high possibility for him to take that victory. If he is the winner, the “Self Care” rhymer will have his parents in attendance to accept the award on his behalf. His presence will be felt at the Grammy Awards and not only through his music.
Mac Miller’s family continues to carry on his legacy and by that his mother has been helping with The Mac Miller Circles Fund to help kids from his hometown and already has garnered up to $1 million in donations. Just last fall, celebrities gathered in California to pay tribute to the young late rapper. The 61st Annual Grammy Awards is airing on Sunday, Feb. 10th, 2019 on CBS.
