In 2016, Lil Uzi Vert came out of nowhere, and became a huge breakout star. Signed to DJ Drama and Don Cannon’s label, Uzi quickly became their flagship. The Philadelphia rapper was the biggest sensation since Meek Mill, from the city.
Lil Uzi Vert soon found himself dominating the radio, especially with his “Xo Tour Llife” record. That song did well, as did his Nicki Minaj collaboration on “The Way Life Goes” remix. All of this success, however, hasn’t brought him the happiness he seeks.
Earlier today, Lil Uzi Vert announced he was quitting music. When he made this announcement, Lil Uzi began trending on Twitter. The fans on Twitter are hoping that he will decide to not quit music, in 2019, like he originally said he would.
