Tekashi 6ix9ine is still locked up on fed charges that carries a life sentence for racketeering, murder conspiracy, weapons and assault charges. His trial date is set for September 4, 2019. Recently, his lawyer Lance Lazarro said that he’s putting together a bail package that’d ask for 6ix9ine to get out on $1.5 million bail with the claim that he’s not a danger to his community.
A petition on Change.org has also been surfacing asking 6ix9ine to be granted bail. It has already reached 49,000 signatures out of the desired 50,000. It will be tough for a petition to get the judge to grant bail for a very serious fed case though.
Among other legal issues that 6ix9ine has dealt with during his incarceration are being issued an arrest warrant for him hitting a Houston teenager in January for trying to take a photo of him, plotting to kill Chief Keef and his cousin, and an Instagram model saying that she had his baby. 6ix9ine’s next hearing is January 22.
