Five years ago, Starz announced they had a new TV series set to premiere in the summer. The show was called “Power” and 50 Cent was involved. Their cast was led by Omari Hardwick and former 3LW star, Naturi Naughton.
Not many people remember the announcement, but over the course of the five years, “Power” has become the show of the summer. Fans will take it how they can get it, but they don’t like waiting until July for the season premiere. This year, they want it in early June, like normal.
50 Cent definitely helped propel “Power” to become the popular show it has been. Because of that, he has become a vital partner to the Starz network. Recently, he and Starz CEO, Chris Albrecht, sat down with Business Insider, where they discussed the show, TV, and much more.
