Coming into 2018, Cardi B faced a lot of external pressure to top her breakthrough year. In the end, 2018 has seen Cardi B continue to be the top rapper in the game. This came as a surprise to everyone outside of Cardi B’s camp and fan base.

Early in 2018, “Be Careful” dropped, proving Cardi was no one hit wonder. Then, Invasion of Privacy dropped, becoming another platinum album. When the summer hit, Cardi B topped Billboard, for the second time, with “I Like It,” featuring J Balvin and Bad Bunny.

Cardi B, while riding number one with Maroon 5’s “Girls Like You,” got into an incident at Angels strip club in Queens. Two twins ended up suing Cardi B, accusing her of attempted murder. Today, Cardi B was set to appear in court, but reports are saying she will not actually appear, but her attorney, Jeff Kern, will.
