Lil Wayne announced in a video a few days ago that his Tha Carter V album will be released on his birthday and that is today. The end of the video also said 9/28 which confused many fans. The official word now is that the 9/28 date is a go.
Kanye West is also set to release his Yandhi album on 9/29. He took to Twitter today to say that it will be released later on that night so Wayne can enjoy his album and so their releases won’t conflict much.
“We’re releasing Yandhi Saturday night,” said West. “We know it will come in number 2 to my brother Lil Wayne and that’s lovely. The universe needs Ye and Wayne music at the same time.”
