Lil Wayne is without a doubt one of the greatest artists ever to bless the mic in hip-hop and all of his accolades throughout the past three decades will be celebrated at the 2018 BET Hip-Hop Awards on October 6. The awards will be aired on October 16. According to Billboard, Wayne will receive the I Am Hip-Hop Award for his work.
Wayne has released 11 albums in his career with accolades including five Grammy awards, 14 Hip-Hop awards, and four Billboard awards. Wayne is reportedly set to release the fifth installment of his Tha Carter album series on September 21. The cover art has released in preparation for the project.
The BET Hip-Hop Awards will take place in Miami for a second straight year at the Jackie Gleason Theater. DeRay Davis will be the host of the show.
