A lot of times, people say that we should all honor, and look after people, before they do something extreme. But, a lot of these things happen without warning. This young man, Jamel Myles, of Denver, is nine years old, and just started the fourth grade.

When school started, Myles told his mother that he was gay. Even in today’s times, there is a stigma surrounding homosexuality, that is prominent in nearly all the cultures. Regardless of a person’s beliefs, everyone deserves respect.

Being in such a primary grade, Jamel Myles wasn’t given that respect, and he was bullied, with kids even telling him to kill himself. Facing such pressure at a young age, he did just that. Now, another life is lost, and people are doing what they can, even if it is just a simple tweet, paying their respects.
