Vic Mensa is really putting on for his hometown of Chicago. A few weeks ago, the Chicago police were criticized for leaving “bait trucks” around the city to lure black kids into taking shoes. Cops would wait until they take the shoes from the truck, and arrest them.
Today, Vic Mensa is holding a #AntiBaitTruck Shoe GiveAway Event where he is giving away shoes to everyone in the community. The slogan for the even is “COP these shoes kids!”
Kudos to Vic for always using his platform to give back to the kids in his community. Shame on the police in Chicago for using a bait truck to set kids up to be arrested. This is what the police really think of black and brown children. And they still wonder why Colin Kaepernick refuses to stand for the National Anthem.
