Tyga just scored his first top ten single in seven years, with “Taste,” featuring Offset

There are a bunch of rappers who don’t get the respect that they deserve and Tyga is one of them. He was one of the first rappers to sign to Young Money. When he signed, he had buzz from his viral hit single, “Coconut Juice,” which took off.

In 2011, Tyga dropped “Rack City,” when Cash Money was at its peak, and Young Money was all about Drake and Nicki Minaj. With the world focused on them, Tyga made it all about him. Ahead of Lil Wayne’s fallout, Tyga left Young Money/Cash Money to much backlash.

Tyga endured all the ridicule and internet rumors, like a champ. He quietly got distribution with EMPIRE and he made some albums that turned a profit. This summer, he landed Offset for “Taste” and created a dope song with Offset that sounds nothing like Migos or Cardi B that put him back on top.
