The case of Isaiah Thomas is one of the weirdest ones in recent NBA history. Just a year ago, IT was an MVP candidate, and leading one of the league’s fastest-rising teams, in the Boston Celtics. But, the Celtics got an opportunity too good to pass up.

When the current season begins, Isaiah Thomas will have played for three teams in one year. After the 2017 Finals, Kyrie Irving asked to be traded and Boston dealt Isaiah Thomas for him. Injured, IT was upset, but fans expected him and LeBron to do damage in Cleveland.

Ultimately, the Cleveland experiment failed, and Isaiah Thomas was traded to the Lakers. With LeBron James signing with the Lakers, following the 2018 Finals, the team regrouped. Now, Isaiah Thomas has signed a one year deal with the Denver Nuggets, leading fans to question if he’ll get his fresh start there.
