Kawhi Leonard played under the core unit and emerged as a budding star, during the 2014 NBA Finals. Blossoming ahead of his time, Kawhi came into his own, during the 2017 playoffs. However, his Game 1 injury, against the Warriors, has proven costly.
Apparently, Kawhi Leonard refused to return from injury, according to the Spurs’ coach, Gregg Popovich. Soon, it became clear there was tension between the superstar and the coach. Now, there is a rumor floating around that politics is the reason for the tension, and why Kawhi, wants to leave, as it’s being claimed that Leonard is a strong Trump supporter, and Popovich, obviously, is not.
