The power and influence Drake has had on the game has been overwhelming. It’s hard to believe, but Drake has had a longer run on top than Lil Wayne did. During this span of time, Drake has also been a bigger artist than peak Wayne.
There is obviously the Cash Money Records issues that kept Lil Wayne from being a viable artist, from 2014 to the present. Given the way that he is resurfacing, Wayne is definitely a 2018 contender. But, this year has belonged to Drake, Nicki, Cardi B, and J. Cole.
However, with Scorpion out, the fans are not feeling it. The fans on Twitter have been calling Drake trash, and his album. A lot of people have had a lot to say, some giving his album a 0/10 rating, and others predicting his demise, in 2018.
