Jay-Z named Puma’s president of basketball operations
So, this is how the other half lives? As soon as the OTRII tour was announced, Jay-Z received a big check, as tickets sold out, and sponsors lined up. While the tour was going on, many fans expressed disappointment in there not being any new music.
That was likely the setup for the Everything Is Love album, which has driven millions of people to sign up for TIDAL. At $20 a clip, that’s some good money, too. On top of all of that, Jay-Z has now taken a new executive position.
This morning, Puma announced they are relaunching their basketball division. With that, Jay-Z is named the president of their basketball operations. The power now afforded to him gives him creative control over the design of products, in addition to his ongoing drive to align basketball with the culture.
