So, JR Smith is officially never going to live Game 1 down. Man, the fans are high-key cruel for this one, but the Warriors don’t have any chill. For sure, the Cleveland Cavaliers invented a new way to lose, in Game 1.
The Cavs were definitely going to win Game 1 and LeBron James had a monster game. But, once it hit overtime, his 51 wasn’t going to be enough to stop Steph and Klay. Of course, if JR Smith made different life choices, the game wouldn’t have gone to overtime.
Either way, the Warriors fans congratulated JR Smith for bailing their team out, in Game 1. When he went to the free-throw line, they started chanting “MVP.” Twitter is going on so hard, they got “MVP for JR” trending.
