The knock against the Cleveland Cavaliers, this season, is that there was no team around LeBron James. That was the reason they pulled off that midseason trade. Still, that trade wasn’t enough for the Cavs to gain a top three seed.
LeBron James also faced the biggest playoff struggle of his career, when Victor Oladipo’s Pacers gave his Cavs a very strong run. But, thankfully, DeMar DeRozan and Kyle Lowry’s Raptors were just as disappointing as usual. They blew a huge Game 1 lead to the Cavs.
Following the Game 1 win, LeBron James sat down with the press to speak on the game. While he wasn’t as efficient as he wanted to be, James credited his teammates, Larry Nance, Tristan Thompson, and Kyle Korver, for being ready. He discussed having little time to prepare, but still winning, and leading in the series.
