Down in Atlanta, the tide has slowly shifted, but the city remains a major influence on the global hip hop scene. Back in 2011, there was a large influx of Atlanta rappers to emerge. Hip hop media soon coined this movement, including 2 Chainz and Future, “New Atlanta.”

As Future cemented his legacy, Migos, Young Thug, and many other late teens/early twenties Atlanta rappers were working. The year of 2013 was a coming of age for most of them. That was when Migos took over and now they are not looking back.

Offset, due to his romance with Cardi B, has become the most-known member of the crew. However, he doesn’t have much solo work, and he’s been silent, since the Nicki Minaj interview. But, he went off on a rant on Twitter that many believed was about Nicki, until they found corresponding tweets from Future.
