In 2007, Kanye West reached the pinnacle of the music world, landing several chart-topping singles. While he was the top artist, in all of music, he dealt with personal turmoil when his mother died. Instead of fading from the spotlight, Kanye West came right back.
Only a year after Graduation, Kanye West delivered 808s & Heartbreak, his fourth album. This album saw him embrace auto-tune and create a new sound that worked. The third single from this album came in the form of “Amazing,” featuring Young Jeezy.
Time is definitely flying, as this song is now nine years old. It’s coming up on a decade since this song was released as a single. As there are rumors of a Kanye West comeback, “Amazing” is the Wednesday Throwback for this week.
