Rihanna is officially the most-certified artist in digital history

When it comes to her career, Rihanna has followed a path that was trailed by Jay-Z, but few have noticed. In 2005, Jay-Z was trying his hand at running Def Jam and Rihanna was among the first signees. It wouldn’t be long before Rihanna dropped her debut album.

Rihanna wasted no time releasing her second album, the following year. Every year, she released a new album, until 2012, issuing a reissue of her third album in 2008. When Rihanna returned, she released one more album, with Roc Nation, and now has businesses.

However, the work Rihanna put in from 2005-2012 is enough for her to be a legend. Add to that her 2016 ANTI run and Rihanna definitely had a solid legacy. This afternoon, she was named the most-certified artist in digital history.
