Watching the Toronto Raptors, over these past few years, has been impressive. When the Raptors lost Chris Bosh, they started building around DeMar DeRozan. In the 2012 offseason, the Raptors ended up trading for Kyle Lowry, forming a strong backcourt duo.

By 2014, the Raptors proved to be a rising force, in the East. They were among the rising teams, along with the Washington Wizards and the, then-Charlotte Bobcats. With Drake on deck, as an adviser, the Raps proved to have staying power, rising every year.

Last year, Toronto struggled, after going to the Conference Finals, where they lost to Cleveland in six. They followed that with a sweep against the Cavs, and many thought Kyle Lowry would leave, in free agency, to sign with the Spurs. Instead, the Raptors are first in the East, giving Kemba Walker’s Hornets that work.
