Lovebug Starski, a hip hop pioneer, who may have coined the term “hip hop,” dies at 57 years old, in Las Vegas

There is a real reason for the debates about what “real” hip hop is. One thing is for sure, all of the nonsense and violence is not hip hop, even though a lot of rappers are caught up in it. However, there is nothing more hip hop than people taking this culture to television and film.

Lovebug Starski is one of the people who actually helped create hip hop, in The Bronx. Back then, this whole culture was considered a fad, but look at where it’s at now. The world was blessed to have Starski around to see just where the culture went.

Sadly, Lovebug Starski wasn’t meant to see the year of 2018 completely unfold. Here, on February 8, Lovebug Starksi’s journey is over. According to tweets from several hip hop blogs, DJ Premier, and many others, Lovebug Starski has died at 57 years old, in Las Vegas, way too young.
