One thing Cardi B has not really had much of is fan backlash. It’s nearly unprecedented, even dating back to her “Love & Hip Hop” run, almost all of her feedback was positive. As she became the biggest name in music, it seemed like everybody was supporting her.
Cardi B grew up in The Bronx, however, which has a large number of gang members, who identifies as Bloods. Growing up, in this environment, exposed Cardi B to this culture. A few months ago, she even bragged that she “put in work” to be a Blood.
However, Cardi B is now one of the biggest names in music, and has performed at the Grammys. This afternoon, Cardi B got her first taste of backlash. She posted this photo of herself, wearing a blue fur coat, and sent a shot at the Crips, in her caption, leading to Crips flooding her comments, and her removing the caption.
