Man, DJ Akademiks really can never catch a break. People are always going in on Ak, for one reason or another. As if he didn’t catch it, bad enough, with Joe Budden, now he has Star as a co-host, and they don’t have the kind of comrade that he and Joey had.
DJ Akademiks definitely played the game, in a smart way. A lot of people simply comment on topics, in forums, and on social media. But, this is something Akademiks took, on a professional level, and built his own platform.
While Akademiks gets a lot of views, most fans, and especially the artists, treat him like he’s a joke. After Drake kicked him off his Live feed, Gillie Da Kid went in on him. Recently, Gillie Da Kid went on the “Easily Offended” podcast, with Murda Mook, @ItzBizkit, and Movie Matt, and he went in on Akademiks.
