Nominated twice, Cardi B ended up coming up short of both of her Grammy nominations. But, Cardi B still had an amazing year, all from one song. She managed to take the spotlight from DJ Khaled, French Montana, and Kendrick Lamar, when each had career years.
Kendrick Lamar would be the big winner at the Grammys, winning five awards, off the bat. Two of the awards would actually be the ones Cardi B was nominated for. Before the Grammys, Cardi B said it was a win enough to just be performing.
Cardi B definitely did her thing, performing “Finesse,” with Bruno Mars, and they would’ve owned the show. Too bad, Rihanna stole the show, performing “Wild Thoughts,” alongside DJ Khaled and Bryson Tiller. Just being there was the win and Cardi B thanked Bruno Mars for the opportunity.
