Shout out all the people who couldn’t sleep, tonight. Those people tuned into BET and, if they grew up in the 1990s, got a treat. Tonight, the featured BET movie was Waiting To Exhale, the 1995 classic, boasting an all-star cast.
Angela Bassett, Whitney Houston, Lela Rochon, and Loretta Devine were the ladies who rounded the cast off. For those who may be unfamiliar with Lela Rochon, she was on “The Wayans Bros.,” in the earlier seasons. The rest are all well-known by current fans.
Waiting To Exhale is a film about underappreciated women of color, so it resonates today, more than ever. Many ladies, and a solid number of guys, too, tuned into the movie. Speaking on the movie, and the equally-classic soundtrack, fans have Waiting To Exhale trending on Twitter.
