#TRL has changed its format to make it similar to the daytime talk shows, with a roundtable, of sorts

Back in 2007, MTV made plans to cancel “TRL,” to the dismay of many music fans. It made sense, though, because with artists releasing music videos to the internet, a video show didn’t make much sense. However, nostalgic fans also wanted something from the old school back.

“TRL” made its return to MTV, as basically a live talk show, where many of the biggest names in music perform. Boasting several hosts, such as DJ Khaled, DC Young Fly, and Migos, “TRL” is essentially a whole different show. Reviews for the new “TRL” have been dismal.

Now, a fan has posted to Lipstick Alley, where they have shown another major “TRL” change. The show has now become even more talk-oriented, with their hosts sitting at a roundtable. Apparently, they come here and discuss music-related topics.
