Tonight, the American Music Awards are going down and DJ Khaled was at the forefront. Before Cardi B took the game over, DJ Khaled was running a marathon towards the top year in hip hop. While the year still may be his, it is definitely a tight race.
DJ Khaled came into 2017, hoping to top all of his career accomplishments. His first offering was a Jay-Z/Beyonce single and he opened the summer with “I’m The One.” The Justin Bieber, Chance The Rapper, Quavo, and Lil Wayne-assisted record topped Billboard.
When it came down to the Rap/Hip Hop Song of the Year, DJ Khaled won the award. This isn’t much of a surprise, but these fans are out here doing Khaled dirty. While calling him out for being annoying, the fans are calling him DJ Khalid, and they have that trending.
