Last year, the Soul Train Awards were among the most-exciting they had been in years. Honoring Brandy with the Lady of Soul award, she performed a rousing medley of her past hits. She even brought Mase out for their “Top of the World” performance.
From the way the timelines looked, the 2017 Soul Train Awards were even more lit. This year, SWV is taking home honors, as is Toni Braxton and both entities have hits for days. Then, the newcomers are also having their time to shine.
Being represented by EJ, from Hustle Rehab Radio, Hip-HopVibe.com was on the red carpet. Speaking with Kevin Ross, Kehlani, Luke James, and Elise Neal, each of them spoke on the show. They had the utmost praise for SWV and Toni Braxton.
