Last week, Desiigner returned to the headlines, when he was accused of falling off. After catching wind of that, Desiigner wasted no time reminding people who he was. Definitely, Desiigner had a big year, in 2016, where he was signed by Kanye and co-signed by Jay-Z.
Desiigner helped open the door for a new wave of New York rappers, picking up where Bobby Shmurda left off. Then, on top of that, he helped usher in this Cardi B era. But, Desiigner has something bigger on his hands than music legacy.
Last night, Desiigner was on camera dancing, with Sidney Starr twerking on him. To each its own, but Desiigner spoke out to make sure people know that’s not his thing. Allowing people to get their laugh at him, Desiigner let it be known that he didn’t even realize Sidney Starr was transgender.
