Stephon Marbury sets Twitter on fire after he announces his NBA comeback plans, having last played in 2009

Real NBA fans often ask this question, along with many others. What would have happened if Stephon Marbury never left the Minnesota Timberwolves. That’s a loaded question, but Stephon Marbury was the original Steph, even if he was Kevin Garnett’s number two.

Without Marbury, Kevin Garnett was able to lead the Timberwolves to their only eight playoff appearances in franchise history. The team even went to the Conference Finals, in their last appearance. Most of those runs had Wally Szczerbiak as the second best player.

Ultimately, KG and Stephon Marbury would reunite on the Boston Celtics, as they tried to defend their title. Long story short, they didn’t, and soon Stephon Marbury was forgotten, resurfacing in China, where he became a legend. This morning, he announced his NBA comeback, and took Twitter over.
