Today is a very special day for the Hip-HopVibe.com family. Yes, there is a whole day of news that awaits, but all of that is coming in second place, right now. Eight years ago, today, Hip-HopVibe.com began, over at hhvibe.wordpress.com.
That page, over there, is still live, but it hasn’t been touched since a brief return to it in 2011, well over a year since it was last used. Most people who heard of Hip-HopVibe.com got familiar in 2011. Back then, it was hhvibe.blogspot.com, a page that’s also still live.
Over the course of eight, long, long, years, Hip-HopVibe.com has grown into a respected brand. All of the love and support is greatly appreciated. Above all else, the people who frequent the site, the whole team thanks you so much for making this all possible, giving us someone to serve.
Through the years, there have been a lot of people to come and go as contributors on the site. Whether it was one of the originals, like Mark Thomas, or one of the celebrity DJ hosts, such as DJ Kid Fresh, the time was memorable and efforts much appreciated. Though time moved on, those moments are forever captured in time. To celebrate these eight years, we have a collection of some of our top interviews with many of the biggest names.
Since September 6, 2009, Hip-HopVibe.com has had the pleasure of interviewing Morris Chestnut, Chris Brown, Roland Martin, Ja Rule, Kandi Burruss, DJ Drama, Mack Wilds, KRS-One, Allen Hughes, Demetrius Shipp, Jr., B.o.B., Jimmy Iovine, Jussie Smollett, Congresswoman Maxine Waters, Lance Gross, Estelle, Safaree, MC Lyte, LisaRaye, Master P, Benny Boom, and countless others.
