Sixteen years ago, Aaliyah visited “106 & Park,” for only the second time, to tell them about her new video. Earlier in the summer, Aaliyah dropped her self-titled third album. Anticipation was high for her next video.
At the time, Aaliyah had “We Need a Resolution” that became a favorite among fans. However, when she sat down with AJ and Free, she teased “Rock The Boat” as the next single. During her interview, she even told about a trip to the Bahamas to finish the video, instead of Miami.
Ultimately, the trip to the Bahamas ended up being the final trip of her life. How quickly it all ended, only hours after she took the above photo, is a tear-jerker. But, the fans who have taken to Twitter have come to celebrate her life with a collection of tweets and photos.
