Last night, the Boston Celtics stunned the sports world, when they traded their best player, Isaiah Thomas, for Kyrie Irving. Not to take away from Kyrie Irving, but Isaiah Thomas was the better player. Yeah, the Celtics are still a playoff team, but they had a title contender.
The Celtics’ core of Isaiah Thomas, Gordon Hayward, Al Horford, and Jae Crowder, makes for the only team in the East that could beat Cleveland. But, the Cavs’ new core of LeBron James, Isaiah Thomas, and Kevin Love is essentially even with Boston. Now, the East has a chance.
This morning, news surfaced that the Cleveland Cavaliers pitched their all-time rivals, Golden State Warriors, about a trade. They reportedly proposed to trade Kyrie Irving to Golden State for Klay Thompson. The internet is still laughing about that one.
